What aftermarket Battery Should I Replace OEM with?

Not sure exactly which model it was, but I got an Interstate battery for a '03 GS430 a couple months back for ~$115 I believe, from Costco. It was the one recommended for that car according to the Interstate "battery book". Might want to check there if you have a membership.

Thanks for the tip but Costco in Canada still sells Kirkland. Cehecked there yesterday and their price for the 24 series was $90. Problem is the measurements are off quite a bit which means it won't fit properly in the factory box. I am going to take the box with me when I go shopping and make sure I get hte exact right size.
For anyone that has removed the battery box or cage, is it riveted on or just screwed on, can't really see the connectors without removing everything.

Did anyone end up finding a Kirkland battery that is the correct dimensions? The group 24 battery is longer than the OEM battery in our 2011 GS350, in addition, the 24 is reverse polarity.

Thanks, I had a tournament to attend to today but I'll go check it out tomorrow.

I don't disagree with you there. At night your system is drained a lot harder than during the day, believe it or not.
I know this because my voltmeter dropes a few decimals (nothing too serious, but I'd imagine on a weaker battery it's more intense).
I think all in all I've given up my respect for Optima batteries now.... They are complete garbage now IMO.
I think I'm going XS power or Stinger next

Optima Red Top battery did NOT fit my 08 gs350rwd.... Its just too small. the leveler it comes with raises the battery up so you can secure the terminals. But the battery itself is just too small in size. it will move around in the area it sits in and the hold down is too long for it to be properly secured. i got it off oriely and used my vin to match battery sizes. dont buy one.

Some Lexus dealers will replace the OEM battery (I think maybe a group 24R?) by removing the OEM battery box and installing a group 34 battery. The group 34 fits the hold-down without the OEM battery box. If you have the battery box, you need a group 24 battery. There are variations of the group 24 battery where the terminals are reversed (24R, maybe 24S), which will cause a problem with installation as the cables aren't long enough to reach.
I would also note that the OEM GS350 battery was a "sealed lead-acid" (SLA) battery, not an AGM battery. AGM batteries will work, but if you want to take full advantage of an AGM battery in a 3rd generation GS350 (extended longevity and better cold performance), you need to charge it with an AGM battery charger periodically (maybe every couple months) since the GS350 charging system is optimized for SLA.
An Optima Group 25 battery will work with the OE battery box, but you need the height adapter, and it's still a little small (narrow) but secures acceptably with the box and hold-down.
As far as I can tell, the OEM battery box is not attached -- there is a small bracket on the side that clips onto a support on the positive battery cable, but other than that the box is just retained by the hold-down when the hold-down is screwed on.

I like Deka batteries by East Penn manufacturing. Its the last domestically produced battery, and they manufacture for AAA, Napa Autoparts, Harley Davidson, etc. I have a distribution warehouse close to me, so I always get the freshest possible.
