I went to change my spark plugs today since I was at 50k miles, when I pulled one out it looked like this. A bit ashy so I'm not sure if it's from bad gas or oil burning or what. Is this what your guys plugs look like? I just wasn't sure if this how direct injection plugs look like at 50k.

Mine looked like this decryption and picture

Deposits
Insualtor nose and electrodes encrusted with a build of deposits - usually off white in colour.
This is often caused by oil leakage through the piston rings or valve seals. Could be due to the wrong viscosity of oil being used.

These are factory installed plugs. And Motul xmax 8100 synthetic weight of 5W30 is used per suggested by the manual.

If the car runs fine, and you don't notice any appreciable loss of oil between oil changes I wouldn't worry about it.

The manual states 1.1qt in 600 mile is max acceptable oil consumption I'm a bit worried now lol. Where I work at Nissan 1qt in 1000 miles grants you a new replacement motor. As far as oil loss I don't know yet as I haven't really been driving it much since it's just a weekend car.

So I would be out of oil in 3000 miles and it would be my fault, how convient. I do remeber reading the 1.1 qt/600 miles somewhere also.

unfortunately, the TSIB fix for carbonization is only for cars with symptoms that are replicable by your dealer.

I don't even know, i just like to do all my maintenance all at once when i get a used car since i don't know when anything was done. Its just a comforting feeling when i don't have to service anything anytime soon.

Spark plug change interval is 96,000 km or 60,000 miles.
