What to buy to clean my gs350 myself
Hey guys
I just picked up my new 2010 obsidian GS350 !! I am now a new member of the 3GS club!! I was just wondering what do you guys use to clean your cars? More specifically what kind of cloths or soap do you guys use? I dont want to use the wrong one and scratch my car or do anything bad to it

www.autopia.org + a bunch of reading.
I use Zaino products to wash, polish and protect mine and it looks fantastic. Stay away from automated car washes and use 2 buckets to wash (one to hold soap and one to rinse) will go a long way to reducing scratches and swirls.

I use Zaino polish and Autoglym wax. Its an unbeatable combination in my experience. I know what I am talking about, Im kind of a detail freak

Same thing as any other car that has paint. But anyway...
Since you have a black car, prepare for the swirls. Buy a PC 7424XP, some medium polishing pads, some meguiar's dual action polish.
Apart from washing, claying, and polishing, I just use klasse AIO and klasse SG because it's fast and easy (and not too expensive).
You won't have to do a hell of a lot because the car is new, but the swirls come fast on black cars even if you're not going through automatic washes. Actually, even brand new it probably came with swirls preinstalled by the dealer.

I have a 2009 Obsidian and the swirls are definitely a thing to conquer. But when you do, the car n color is awesome.
Zaino does excellent - yeah Im a real fan!. I use their Z5, Z6, Z7 and dont miss their leather in a bottle Z10. My car is brand new too, so I figured I dont need any of that claybar stuff. Dont just use any rag. Get some 100% cotton/microfiber towels and then cut off the hard edges.
Search for Zaino on google and then read their application tab.

What do you guys do in the winter? I live in Canada and in the winter I don't really want to be cleaning the car outside, but at the same time I should avoid automated car washes so what should I do to clean the vehicle? I don't want to leave it dirty for 4-5 months :P

Drive it dirty for 5 months. What else can you do, as soon as you go outside it gets dirty again... rinse it off now and then, no big deal.
