I changed my horrible Dunlop runflats on the 450h after the first week. I put on Continental ContiExtremeContact (something like $110 per tire from TireRack.com) and have been extremely happy with them for the last two years. I now have 25K miles on them and they seem to have most of the tread left. I have never before had a high-performance tire that lasted this long.

When I had my GS450h, I swapped my crappy run flat with some Michelin PS2, and the change is like day and night, they were so much quieter, so much comfortable and so much stickier, oh and also so much more expensive... But imho they definitively worth it.
Oh and I was running without a spare tire, just a can a goo-tire and a Lexus Link subscription...

I dumped the stock 17" Dunlop runfarts for:
1. 18" Michelin Pilot Sport A/S for use in spring, summer, and fall.
2. 17" Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 for use in winter.
Both sets of tires give such an improved ride over the runflat tires. To me there is no comparison, as stated above, its like night and day. However, I did spend the extra ducets and put a spare in the trunk. I won't do the goo.
