I am confused if the '06 GS w/ ML plays Mp3s on a CD-R, CD-RW, or a DVD-R/DVD-RW. I thought I that I have read something on here that said that it does. I tried some CDs that have played in my Pioneer MP3 head unit.

Any info would would be greatly appreciated.

yes it does, what info. are you needing information about? confused.
If you are having problems playing what you've created it could be due to your burning software.I've heard that before.

Well I have burned to a CD and to a DVD using Nero. DIDN'T WORK...
I also used the built in Windows burning software to NO AVAIL...

I will try to use Alcohol 120% next...

Any ideas? I am using Imation 80min CD-R

It loads the disk.. then tries to read it for a minute or two and and says "DISK # CHECK". for whatever number disk I loaded it into.

Same here. "DISK # CHECK Burned CD and DVD with Nero and got the same error message. I don't think ML in 06 plays mp3.

I had an 06 GS300 with the ML system. It does not play MP3 files at all. This was introduced with the 07 GS's. Your best bet is to burn audio DVDs. That will give you many more songs per disc compared to regular audio CDs.
