Any of your Lexus dealers offering a prepaid maintenance program? Mine here in NC offers a program with discounted maintenance. The discount varies depending on how many miles of service you prepay. The benefit is the discount (around 30-35% depending on the prepay amount) and locking in today's service pricing.

Anyone using or heard of a similar program and what do you think of it?

They are a "hook" into future service. This assures the Lexus dealer you will return to them for all your services. Since service is where all the money is, they like the opportunity for the "big" one.

Most Lexus vehicles are leased.

I got a prepaid maintenance program I do not remember the price I think it was 850 for 50,000 miles and it can be done at any Lexus dealership. I'm happy with it just sing and leave never have to pay when you go in.

So a 35% discount for what? 60k miles maybe? That's 4 to 5 years for most people. Now break that down into what you could get in a total return in a conservative investment - say w/ a 9% return. 40 to 50 percent return.

So while it's not really a bad idea if you're going to get maintenance anyway - it's not exactly saving you much if anything, or costing them any less either if they're investing that money.
