Defective cigarette lighter
So after two months of ownership, I finally discovered that my cigarette lighter doesn't work. I don't smoke so I never tried pressing the button but I was playing around with it this past weekend because I got my V1. I noticed that it wasn't powering up when I plugged it in the socket so I took it out and just pressed the button to see if it would heat up, but the lighter never popped back up. I pulled it out and it was cold after waiting a few minutes. Just wondering if this has happened to any other 3GS owners or if I'm the first one. I already scheduled an appointment to bring it in to my local dealer.

It's probably just a fuse, or maybe you forgot to plug it back in when you removed your center console. Do you notice the lights coming on in the ashtray when your headlights are on?

I checked the fuse and it's not blown. Also, the ring of light around the lighter work fine, so that lead me to believe that there's a problem with just the lighter itself.

the same thing happened to me but after many fuse changes i founf that a little spring from a pen dropped in the hole and everytime i changed the fuse and tested it, it made the fusees blow. there are at leased two fuses that i know maybe 3 for the lighter chack all of them and check to see if anything dropped in the hole.

which fuses?
Do you know which fuses are for the cig lighter? On driver's side fuse box panel or passenger's side? (In the owner's manual there's 2 fuse boxes, one on each side checked both fuse 7 on driver's side and fuse 11 on passenger's side but they were both fine). Thanks...
