I have a 2001 lexus gs300 that will start up and shutdown after 1 second. I changed the spark plugs with iridium IX, (orignal oem's) and changed the ignition coils as well as the ignition coil wires. Before all of this, it used to start up and run but it had a problem of sputtering and hiccuping at idle and while driving. So i gave it that tune up. Did the knuckle heads at autozone just accidently give me the wrong spark plugs? I have been adjusting them every other day and nothing will fix it. I even changed the oil control valve and it did nothing.

check fuel pressure, check for vacuum leaks. Could even be a TPS issue

Sounds like a bad MAF.

yup definitely sounds like an maf problem to me. i think i have one laying around if you're interested in buying one for cheap

Does engine die straight away after one second, like a clean stall or does the engine stumble before it dies?
