Wife locked keys in the trunk.. Cant pop trunk due to alarm
So my wife was loading my son's stroller into her 2000 GS today ahead of the front we had come through. Well the wind was blowing and the wind knocked the trunk into her head and she dropped the keys into the trunk and it slammed shut. The doors were locked and she had someone come and open it up. Unfortunately we have no spare and the alarm was engaged when the doors were opened without the key. As you all already know, the trunk cannot be popped with the alarm going off. Is there any way around this? From what I have searched its not lookin good. Please advise.

Not really. I did the same and tried to out-smart it and disconnect the battery. It did nothing. I was super lucky that the previous owner took out the sub or whatever the center speaker below the rear window is and I reached in through there. Other option is to probably remove the rear seats. Havent done it yet. There will be tutorials on here somewhere. Good luck.

I locked my key in my trunk before. Yes, you won't be able to pop trunk because of the alarm. I unbolted my back seats. Take it out. It will only take 15 minutes to do if you never do e it before. But if you're familiar with it then it will only take about 5 minutes to do. After you get your back seats out, there is a ruber flap..... Lift it, then you will hit your interior trunk liner..... Push it down its just plastic, now your in the trunk.....grab a little flashlight and grab your keys. Sounds like a lot to do, but its pretty quick. Dont go to the dealer unless you want to waste money. Good luck✌

Get a new master key made At the dealer or somewhere else. You need a spare anyways. I locked my keys in the trunk on my way back to Cali from Vegas once. Fortunately I had the valet key so I drove home but the trunk held my luggage hostage until I was able to get a new master key to open it.

Strong piece of plastic to create a gap between the door and the car....and get a long metal right edge(the ruler you cut drywall with) You can angle that thing anyway you want and just pop the door lock from the inside. That should disable the alarm...even if the alarm goes off, you have access to the car anyway. I'm pretty good at it now....I've even rolled down the window with the car running and the keys were locked inside lol

One more option other than removing the rear seat back (which is SUPER EASY.)
This would actually be harder - you can pull the drivers' door panel and pop the rod off the door lock cylinder - then simply actuate the rod and the alarm will turn off -
The only benefit of this is that you can also retrieve the key code at the same time and get a key cut.

Take the rear seat out
The lower portion of the seat is just snapped into place, if you pull upward hard on the front it will disengage. Then you have bolts that are through hooks on the bottom.
As for the top, pull the headrests upward and you can access them to take the bolts out. Once you do this, it will fall out and you can climb through to retrieve them from the trunk and everything will work properly once more.
