Default whats the best way to install a jp style spoiler??

Hey i searched the forums and cannot find a proper answer, i recently purchased a jp rep trunk spoiler 3pcs, now when i install it is it recommended to use heavy duty 3m tape? I have seen some that will hold 20lbs and some that will hold 50 lbs? or is it better to use an adhesive? and what type to use?

Thanks for the help

May not be pertinent, but I recently installed a Corolla rear spoiler and found a template online for drilling. I fastened with various stainless steel fasteners (some Allen head) and 3M tape.

i tried everything. took me about 6 months to find the solution. i tried double sided tape, industrial 3m tape. Gorilla Glue. Epoxies. You name it.
Got a tip from someone here or on E46 fanatics about using Betalink ( the stuff BMW factory uses to adhere their panels). Tracked some down, It is now called Betatech. I have a link to it somewhere in my thread. Not easy to find. But, its solid as can be now. And i have washed my car plenty of times since.
Other members may have other solutions. But i know what i went through trying to get that thing solid. And i live in a hot dry state. Probably worse anywhere else. I recommend Betatech

most people I know use 3M and its held on fine. If your really worried put on some extra adhesive promotor.
