Default Slow take off

Hi I have a weird issue with my car. When I come to a complete stop and try to take off I have to give the car a lot of ga for it to move. Once the car is moving it drives fine but whenever I completely stop or my doped drops to like 10mph and I try to accelerate again, i have to give it a long gas for it to take off. This normally doesn't happen when the car is cold, but once it warns up this slow take off behind to happen. Any idea what may be wrong? Someone told me it may be the spark plugs. But I am notn100% sure.

if it's new, take it to dealer. Do you use premium gas or regular gas?

Remind me of my Camry V6. It too is lagging during slow speed. But once it hit above 70mph it drive like a champ. LOL

Try cleaning out your throttle body.

Gunk can build up over time inside the throttle body and can stop some air flow at light throttle because the gunk is partially blocking the incoming air. Maybe the power is fine when its cold because the throttle valve is opened more to control the "fast idle" condition because these cars don't have a separate idle control device.

It's prolly the transmission I have a 2001 gs430 and it does the same thing after 20 mph it takes off nice. The first gear sticks basically letting off on 2nd gear and after that I'm flying with no problems.

After some research, there have been many threads about this. I'll provide some links below. Some people experienced ECU problems, MAF problems, but one that was commonly agreed was a sensor on the actual throttle body itself. LEVER ASSEMBLY, THROTTLE WITH SENSOR. LEVER ASSY, THROTTLE - Part number - 2206046070

Many people had success simply cleaning it, or resoldering it.

Sensor diagram - http://www.lexussouthatlantaparts.co...ssembly=780691

How-to on bottom of page on this thread - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...-sensor-5.html

Do not get the accelerator pedal position sensor (initially mentioned in the thread above) confused with the one of the throttle body. Many people changed the one by the pedal, and it did not work.

You can let me know if you have any more questions. Respectfully, Ya'acov
