Okay
Valve cover gaskets. okay. Engine looks squeaky clean and I dont smell anything burning but I will get someone to check this out underneath. Put it on a hoist. Maybe someone will look at it without charging me.
But it seems someone just mentioned they are burning the same amount? Either this is normal for these cars which i dont see why this would not be a recall for heavens sakes, or it really is these valve gasket seals. I just got terrified that my engine was going. I mean thats what happens when cars usually burn oil and theres not a drop underneath that can be seen!

A quart a month is excessive. It's leaking somewhere...but again, with the V8's and the way that it's positioned in the engine bay, you won't see that valve cover leak until it gets really bad, then that's when you'll likely see it on the floor. But yea, get it on a lift and check it out from underneath. That is the best way to tell if it's truly leaking from there. GL

I have a 2002 Gs300 with 180,000 miles and I am also burning a lot of oil. I am just under 3,000 miles since my last oil change and I have already put 3 quarts in since then. Once it gets a little warmer I will be changing a bunch of seals, hopefully it helps. I've never seen any oil spots on my driveway since the day I have owned the car so I don't think it is leaking all that oil. Seams like it must be burning a lot for some reason.
