How to remove glove box light w/o breaking it

Use a small mirror and flash light to see it. Or maybe your cell phones front camera to see it. You can also take the bulb and turn it 15 degrees and try to push it in. If it does not go in turn another 15 degrees and repeat the process.

Any new ideas or options for replacing the glove box light with an LED light?
Or if I just replace the light with an original bulb type, anyone that can explain or post a picture of where the light socket connects to?
My light socket is just hanging down behind the glove box, and not doing much good there can't figure out where or to what (nor how...) it is supposed to be attached?
Oh...sorry...it's a 2004 GX470
