Gas Tank- 1 Half Full.. 1 Half Empty.... How to Fix??
Yo dudes...
I'm building a jzs160 with 1jzgte etc.. The project has been long but it's all coming together now...
Latest problem Iv got is that the Left side of the tank is being drained as the engine runs, but the Right side of the tank is still full....
Why is this happening?
Is it safe to assume the return line goes to the Right side of the tank, thus using up the fuel very quickly??
Iv been looking on töyôdîy but I can't work out if there is another pump in the Right side, or if it's fed over by some other means?
I'm still using the cars original fuel pump ECU, this seems to be working the main pump on the Left side of the tank ok..
The only other thing to add is that I have bypassed the Carbon Canister(black box above diff) as it was leaking badly from what looked like an overflow/outlet pipe....
Any help on this will be very much appreciated as time is of the essence... Iv got a drift day booked and I'm due on track in 31hrs from now....lol

The other side of the tank is siphoned over by the pump pressure in the stock GE setup, so did you remove the intank FPR and do the return line mod to keep the siphon working, or install a JPK kit, or install a 161 fuel hanger unit?
Need more details on what you did with the return line.

Literally just bypassed the carbon canister.. Where it has inlet and outlet, I joined them together...
Not changed anything else in the tank or lines..
The car was sat for quite a while with fuel cap off and other end of fuel line open, so the tank dried almost completly out.. Does the tank need to be filled right up again if it's run dry for the siphon system to work??
What's the 161 'fuel hanger' unit you speak of mate?
I know a guy breaking a 161 about an hour away from me, dont really have time but if I need to I might be able to get parts from it..
