I bought all the parts, the timing belt, the door lock motors and called my local mechanic and he said they wont install them if we buy our own parts? Where else can i go now that i have all the parts bought? This sucks!

Why is that BS? Mechanic/shop won't make any $ off parts and he can't warranty them either. What if a part fails and it's under a parts warranty,he'll still have to pay for labor to this guy because he didn't buy it from him. Alot of shops are like that. It's like bringing your own steak to a restaurant and asking the chef to cook it for you.

I've never had a problem bringing parts to any mechanic and them telling me no....btw just follow the tutorial on the door lock actuator, after you do one your get the hang of it, I can get the actuator out in like 20 minutes now.... Maybe you could take the parts back and then just have your mechanic do it all... I'm glad my belt was just done 200 miles ago at Lexus, valve adjustment and lifter replacement.. Get your belt done though def for preventive maintenance and peace of mind

Use cartalk.com 's mechanix files or yelp and look over the reviews and start calling. Can start with anyone who specializes in Toyota, if that doesn't work start expanding your search to just general japanese, then just general.
If you really only have 1 mechanic in your area, then you may need to either negotiate with them and say you understand no warranty, and you promise no drama. Or bite the bullet and have them buy the parts.
