Also can someone PLEASE PLEASE measure there foglights for me. all i need to know is the size of the front of it and if it will fit on my car. Is it a square shape or is it an odd shape.

One last question. HAS ANY OF YOu PUT HID"S IN Your fogs. i'm planning to buy eigther an IS or a GS foglights since they both use 9006 bulbs and put my 9006 HID"s in them since i am going to have an extra set

You should be able to install the 9006 hid bulbs with no problem. Looks awesome.

it's reflective type. it's not totally rectangular, the outside (the side closer to the side of the car) is a shorter than the inner side. don't have the size handy with me though. and yes it uses 9006

i haven't put hid on my gs but i have put 9006 6000k hid on my acura tl type s fog lights, and it looks awesome. you just want to make sure the bulbs are put in tight so there is no leak, and also put the ballasts high up so water doesn't get to it easy

Default question

Hello,
I ‘m planning to put HID into my fogs. Is it really hard to adapt D2S bulb to fit 9006 socket? Is it going to be weatherproof? I have noticed that all HID kits for 9006 have 9006 adapter placed on the D2 bulb to fit, is it possible to buy it somewhere? Otherwise I need to cash out $549 for 9006 4300k Phillips kit. First option would cost in average about $300 on e-bay.

Thanks for help

i know for sure the d2r bulbs will fit into the 9006 housing, so i think it will be the same case for d2s. HOWEVER, it will NOT bolt in. for 9006 you put it in and turn to tighten it up, but you can't do that with d2 bulbs so it will be loose. you will end up using silicon to seal the whole thing up (yes, very inconvinient when you have to take it apart again). and depending on how good you put the silicon on it will determine how water proof it is.

yes they basically just re-base all d2 bulbs with the correct base for other application, and unless you know the place that do this i haven't see them for sale anywhere at all. and i don't think it's a good idea coz' if you do something stupid you break the bulbs.

and i got a set of 9006 6000k philips kit for 460 shipped, so 550 is way overpriced. and for 4100k you should be able to find it for around 400
