Old thread, but I'm curious if any of y'all that have had MCB failures have also had to deal with a leak from somewhere on the component...is it common for the reservoir seal to leak?

I have the same 'problem', it makes a buzzing noice every 10 seconds, while idleing or driving. Brake Fluid level seems to remain stable so no leaks. Also no lights on dash. Brakes feel good. Car has good stopping power.
Should I replace this? Or can I keep driving around and just wait for when it breaks to get it replaced?
Also, what part of the MBS needs to be replaced / is at fault? A whole MBS (part no. 47050-30160) is quite expensive.

I'll admit, I have the same 'issue'. Whenever the car is stopped and you apply the brakes (like pumping them), I hear a buzz occasionally that sounds like a pump. I noticed this also happens with the car off (key in acc position). The brakes feel totally fine, no ABS lights or anything. I am coming to believe this is perhaps normal operation, since the ABS pump is responsible for providing brake boost (it's a hydraulic booster, instead of a vacuum booster). Perhaps I am wrong?
Also, from the previous post, my brake booster sounds quite similar, except that the sound itself is quieter and not as harsh.

For the guys who put in a NEW canister, if you do the 40 pumps (ign off) to bleed all the pressure in the system and then turn the ign on, how long does the motor run to build up the pressure?
And how many pumps of the pedal does it take after this for the the motor to turn back on once again to build pressure again?

1998 GS300 buzzing sound
IMO This thread is confusing, I've read through all the posts multiple times with lots of similar symptoms.
Bottom line, I'm experiencing buzzing ONLY when braking and coming to a near stop.
No other codes, lights, or symptoms. Breaking seems to be fine. FYI, a couple years ago i had the car at the dealer and experienced similar symptoms after work they had done. They claimed it was a speed sensor misalignment due to rust and the fact they had just completed work on the rear axles. After they cleaned the sensor the problem went away for awhile.
So my assumption is that this is the same issue again due to the age of the vehicle there is a sensor that's simply failing due to rust etc.
Does this sound likely?
Thanks all for all the knowledge and help with this forum
