Car inspection service from dealer
Just bought this 2000 Lexus GS300. For $130, the dealer will do a complete inspection on the car. Has anyone done this? Is it worth it, or will I get the you need this and this...just so they can try and get more money from you. Thanks in advance for any useful information

it probably would have been worth it to do the inspection before you bought the car used. a lot of people take it to a reputable place like a dealership or a good mechanic to see if the car checks out fine to make sure they won't be ripped off before they purchase the car.
you could actually inspect most of the things yourself such as brakes, fluids, suspension parts, filters etc. there are lots of threads for tune ups and such, so since you already bought the car my opinion would be to save the money and use it for tune up parts. good luck!

OK, I think I misled the question. I bought this from a friend. It is already done, and I accept the consequences if it does have hidden issues. I am only asking if anyone has done the inspection and if they thought it was worth it. So far, the car has been driving awesome.

How awesome was that?? A lexus dealer actually telling the customer no need for an added expense. Needless to say, I make the extra trip out to that particular lexus dealer for warranty repairs/parts So basically, to answer your question, it really depends on how often the car was maintained.
BTW, congrats on the car, and welcome!

IMHO, inspection is just visual. It's not worth it to pay $100 + just to visually look like suspension, brakes, fluids, etc. You can just bring it to any mechanic shop and get an inspection for cheaper. And where ever you choose to do the service is up to you. Hope that helps.
