Default thinking of spark plugs

yo....

i have been looking at most of GS owner's description of what they fixed up on their car but haven't seen people installing spark plugs. I have seen those spark plug from ebay going for like $70 and claiming that there is an increase in 5hp. Do those stuff really work or are there any better spark plugs in the market for the GS?

Beru makes a good spark plug. Not sure if they make if for Lexus though, I don't see why they wouldn't. I have used these before and they work well. Don't know about the horsepower increase, some have said that it gives you around 5 horsepower. I think they are like 8 or 9 dollars a plug.

Someone here has used the Torquemaster plugs and has had favorable results.

I had mine changed out at 45k with factory replacements, just cuz. Factory is Denso, and they are, from what I understand very good plugs in and of themselves.

I think TRD makes a plug as well; not sure how they differ from factory. Call SG to find out.

But FWIW, don't pin high hopes on noticeable HP - new plugs will give you higher butt-dynometer readings reagardless of manf.

I'm running torquemaster plugs-Bosch copied this design with the latter's +4 design. While the densos are some of the best I am very happy with the torquemasters. It is my belief that I have smoother power delivery but hey, how the hell do I really know that? I am on the lookout for a dyno day (all day long) to compare and contrast certain mods. The only problem is that I'm not a gearhead and have learned much about actually working on cars on the fly.
Long story shorter, I love my torquemasters and believe that they gave me a gain in power.

I bought the denso iridium plugs. Been in my trunk for a month. I'm waiting to go get an oil change for them to install.

Oh yeah - any you guys considering having the dealership install 'em, and you have a STB, be sure to remove it before you go.

Mine tried slipping in an additional hour of labor during the spark plug install to take off then remount mine. I called them out on it and told them they could charge 15min.
