When you lease a car witht he dealership.... Can you modify the car in any way? I have debadged mine, swapped all the lights for LEDS, Chromed the grille, and took out the rear speaker for a set of subwoofers. I hope I didnt void anything.

u can only leave the tints on it. thats about it.

A lease is just a long-term rental ... Meaning the car really isn't YOURS unless you decide to buy it at the end of the Lease Term ...

my mom gold gold emblems a couple weeks after she got the car. They kept the silver ones. Since she paid extra for those, does that mean we can keep the emblems haha?

she paid extra for the "upgrade", not for the pure emblems. otherwise she should have gotten the old ones as well.

bottom line, some dealerships might not care, but it's your risk to take...

yep, i heard you can't even turn your car in with tint..my brother leased a IS and they told him he'd have to pay fees for tinting the car.

for sure not the case for me. returned the sc430 with all around tint (illegal) and full front clear bra. no penalty in my case

it may depend on the sales person who is writing the car in. but of course, contractually it has to be returned in the same manner they 'rented it' to you and any mods must be removed. think about it, it's gotta be in the fine print...GL

actually the sales will just do a quick walk through and write down roughly what he/she sees. afterwards they will have a tech to check in more details
