Default Acceleration lag....what's the deal?

I'm noticing on my 2GS3, which is fairly new for me, that there is a lag when I accelerate from a stop. It usually occurs around 2000 rpm between 15-20mph, more noticeably when I have the Power mode button engaged. It feels like a turbo lag...you depress the pedal and there's a delay before car begins to accelerate.

Is this normal with this vehicle? It's kind of bothersome. Suggestions or thoughts...? Thanks.

You may need a new air filter and or new spark plugs. I'm not sure though because I haven't noticed that on mine before.

I think it happens on all 2gs. I think its a comfort thing. The 00-02's are the worst I think b/c of the electronic throttle?

i had that issue, found out it was a combination of the mass air flow sensor and the coil packs.

Mine feels like it's dropping a gear for a split second also. If I stay on the pedal hard, it then lurches forward after recovering from the lag.

I may try some Torque Masters or new Denso/NGK.

Every time? Or just when you step on it?

Check this thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...osition+sensor and see if it helps. I know it's mainly about GS430s, but the GS300 also has an accelerator pedal position sensor (which is different than a *throttle* position sensor). Hope it helps.

Exclamation Sounds like my problem, too.

Does anyone know if the 2Gen GS300 have a APP Sensor?
