Heated Seats, steps needed to install...
I have a 98 gs400, No heated seats Im trying to put heated seats in but a few things I have stumbled across are in my way. I bought a console & installed it with the switches already & they plugged right in, they light up but no heat. Now I already know that I need to add a fuse somewhere along the circuit but dont know where the heated seat fuse is. Has anyone tried just installing a console with the switches & adding a fuse & it the seats started to work? Ive heard that all GS seats have the heated seat internals, is this true? Are you sure?
Thanks

I hope theres someone out there that may know the answer.. Ive already put my old console on ebay!
I guess if it comes down to it I can just tell people they take a loooong time to heat up, but the seats WILL heat up since that orange lights on.

i think the seats are different, im sure the leather might be the same and seat might look the same, but under the leather is the heating elements.. im pretty sure if your car did not come with heated seats, just installing the center console switch group will not make your heated seats work..
all cars are wired for heated seats because it is easier during production to just give every car the same harness and install the seats later..
