Steering Wheel Emblem?

Yeah, thats true the emblem actually if you glue the emblem in the middle, if the air bag does deploy the emblem will just lift up, although I wouldnt take a chance like that seeing as how air bags open at very fast speeds.

I haven't measured, but I was wiping down the engine cover on my 430, and the emblem on the cover looked like it may be the same size. I don't think that they would make the emblem on the wheel break in the middle or anything, but who knows. Check for photos of a deployed airpbag. I assume that it is fixed to either the top or the bottom. The reason I even looked is that my emblem is worn down through the chrome also. Somebody must have loved the horn.

you can put the emblem on your airbag cover with no worries of getting hit on deployment. it lifts up and over, as long as its attached properly and the adhesive seals right, the emblem wont detach.
a few friends of mine have done that to their hondas and toyotas, some have been in accidents with emblems still attached to the cover.

I've seen a few pics of steering wheels where someone glued an emblem on it. The question of airbag deployment has never been made clear. Still, it just does not look/feel right to me. If you look at the 01+ airbags, the center of the airbag has been redesigned so that the leather airbag cover fits around the plastic center that holds the chrome L.
I personally love the chrome L on the steering wheel. I just can't see gluing one on thoug. That's just me.
Ultimately, it is your car to do as you please. Be safe.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think he's trying to put one where there wasn't one before. I think he is trying to replace the one that is already on there. Right?
