ambitious

So my boyfriend locked the key in the trunk of his 96 gs300
i unlocked the door in the front, alarm went off and now the interior trunk release won't open the trunk,
is there a way to open the trunk without going to a lock smith
dont want to spend $$$$
we dont have a spare key because the previous owner lost them and bf never went to go make a spare

anything will help
also please be detailed as possible(personally my knowldge of car is not much at all and the bf who knows more about his car is currently at work), i've looked everywhere on the internet and found no detailed solution but anything will help!

unplug the plug going to the trunk switch lockout and jump it with a scrap piece of wire or a paper clip and the switch will be active again.
