Car shipping from CA to OHIO
#2
I have used reliable carriers a couple of times. Both times I had no issues. The first time I shipped open carrier. The car was filthy by time it got to me. There was no damage to the car, just dirty from being an open trailer. The second time I chose a closed carrier. This is the way to go. My car looked like it did when it was given to them. Both times were across country for my BMW. Reliable is headquartered in canton Michigan.

Where in California? I just shipped my ISF from Silicon Valley to the Chicago area with a great company Lucky Star Transport http://luckystarautotransport.com Zolly was responsive, reliable, reasonably priced and my car arrive without a mark on it. He owns the company, owns the truck and does the driving, he takes full responsibility. Beware the large companies that subcontract out the trucks and drivers. They don't have a reputation to protect so they (not all, it is a crapshoot on which driver gets your order) don't take much care in handling the cars. Read up on Yelp. My move was $1000

I was given a pick up and delivery window, total time of windows and travel was 10 days. He picked up in the window and dropped off in the window. Excellent customer service.

I shipped my car with intercity recently from IN to PA and have used them before as well to ship the car from CA to IN. Great service and always on time with pickup and delivery.

I ship my 2009 LS 460 from New England to FL every year: last year, I noticed 3 days after it arrived, they broke/loosened 2 of the plastic noise dampening panels affixed to the underside of the car. Carrier paperwork: "when you sign for receipt of your car, any damage you do not mention "we are not responsible for."" Moral of the story: when you receive your shipped car, make sure you inspect UNDERNEATH the car before accepting delivery.
