I have a 2013 ES350 and just replaced the left side exterior mirror. The project went really well and everything worked as expected....initially. The following day on my way to work the error light came on, and would only go out when I turned the BSM off.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Does something need to be re-set because I disconnected the power to the mirror?

I would make sure the replacement mirror was the same part # that was on the car originally and then I would check all the connections for the left mirror. After that I would see if you can get the mini vci with techstream and see if you can pull the codes for the BSM system. Maybe try disconnecting the battery, it may reset everything and clear the error.

Does the new mirror have the BSM indicator light in it?
