2012-13 Lexus ES 350
I just was informed by a Lexus sales person that the new ES will probably be introduced in the USA, JUNE 2012 as a 2013 model. There was no mention of a hybrid version of the ES, but we may have some hint as to the new Lexus design when the new Toyota Camry is introduced this year.
The new 2012-13 model will be introduced 6 years after the 2007 ES 350 was introduced in the Spring of 2006.
The newly designed model was observed by certain representatives of Lexus and was described as having an outstanding new appearance.
Do any of you have more accurate news on the new ES introduction?

2013 es 350
I just received an update on the 2013 ES 350. My Lexus dealer has seen photos of the new car and said that the new model will probably will be based on the Toyota Avalon, which will make the new Lexus larger than the present model. Also, the front end of the new 2013 ES resembles the front of the current LS model, not the
GS. We will just have to wait to see of they are correct!! The prototype 2013 Es 350 spy photos should appear in the spring of 2012, as did photos of the 2007 ES 350 in April 2006.
The new car will probably have a hybid and/or a non hybrid V-6 motor, with a displacement similar to the current model. The first photos of the 2010 ES 350 appeared in http://en.lexus.com.cn (Lexus China) web site in the spring of 2009..
I drove a new 2012 Toyota Camry XLE and it is very interesting to note that many features on the new Camry model are very similar to the ES 350.

There have been the recurring rumors of a hybrid for 2013. I wouldn't be suprised if the ES remains a 350 since the new Camry keeps the same 3.5L engine as the previous generation.

Maybe they'll throw a turbo in it since everyone else is doing it. Although I would prefer to see an efficient v6 like the pentastar from Chysler. Does anyone else miss smaller ES's they seem to be getting bigger and bigger? Thought they were trying to move away from being like Camrys

I took my wife’s ES 330 in for service today at a Lexus dealer in Roswell, GA and had a long talk with a sales rep there about the 2013 ES. He mentioned along with another sales rep, that the 2013 ES will look nothing like the 2012 Camry, it will be radically different in very good way.
It will look not resemble the current ES at all. Another interesting item is that he also mentioned that the 2013 ES will look more like the redesigned 2013 LS, confirming what Lextooth wrote above. The interior of the 2013ES will be ‘off the chain’, super clean and lux to the max. Hang on to your seats folks, if this is true then I think we may be in store for a very pleasant surprise. I’m already thinking of trading up. Another item mentioned is that the ES has 2000 more welds than a Camry so structurally it is a much more solid car than the Camry.

Do I wait?
Good morning all,
I am new to this forum and I am scheduled to pick up my new '11 ES tommorow. With all this talk about a re-designed ES I wonder if I'm making the correct decision. However, I feel there's always a market for quality, well kept used cars in my area. Opinions please!!!!!
