Hard downshifts
Hi,
In a 2004 es330, at highway speeds, flooring it and jumping down a few gears is on the hard side. It doesn't necessarily feel unhealthy, but it's what I'd expect in a sports car like a corvette or Maserati, it's not the undetectable shift of expect in an es. Again, not unhealthy feeling, but not what I was expecting. Can someone comment? Are yours like thay? Is it perhaps the previous owner never did that and the ect-i isn't used to it?

Check your dog bone engine mount on the top left of your engine when you're looking under the hood. It connects near the left front strut tower. This is a very common solution to a hard downshift/upshift. The part is very inexpensive and easy to replace.
