Default 2ES Courtesy light cover

'93 and I've been slowly switching all of my bulbs to LEDs and after an hour of prying and two broken tabs on my passenger side courtesy light cover I'm convinced there is no non-damaging technique to remove this cover, short of taking the whole door apart.
Would very much appreciate if someone corrected me on this.

pry from the bottom IIRC, it won't damage at all.
just try with a tiny flat head and don't go too hard

I want you to know that you are the best and have bestowed courtesy light removing power upon me. As soon as I read your reply, I went out to try again, and even though it didn't seem as if I was doing anything different it just popped right into my hand.
