If the car is running great, shifting good and the trans fluid is fine, don't do anything until you get a precise and correct diagnosis. Start throwing parts at it expecting to solve the problem can be frustrating and expensive. In the meantime, if you want, buy yourself a cheap (less than $50) and useful obd-2 code reader to clear the code whenever it pops up.

I have been getting this code for over a year and recently starting to get other code for vvti solenoids and changed them both and got 100 percent improvement. My mechanic friend checks my codes any time for free and the only code that shows up is the the shift solenoid.I had also changed tranny fluid 3 months ago.I would like to sell my car.If I had a way to bypass the code.
