How to calibrate Temp gauge?
So my Fuel gauge and tach motor stopped working.
I had to use the needed from my old cluster as the one on the new one was burnt out. Tried to remove the one from the new cluster and would not remove. Ended up using the motor off the old one. I got the needle to where it was sitting before which was almost half way from middle mark to next mark.
What is the best way to check coolant temp so that the gauge matches?

The proper way is to check coolant temperature is at the outlet of the engine. This would be at or close to the coolant return back to the radiator. If there is a coolant port you can get into you would install a calibrated thermocouple. This would than be your engine out temperature.
