New front brakes - no 56k
I normally hate Brembo and EBC, but I got one HELL of a deal on these brakes. Although my pads are still pretty new, my rotors are REALLY old, its almost as old as the car. So instead of having them turned, I'm installing these. Also, Since these rotors are new and and my pads are old and likely warped, I'll install the new pads as well.
Jack up and put the car over jackstands - safety first!
Take off tires.
Remove only the bottom 14mm caliper bolt.
Wiggle around and swing it up and remove pads.
Place caliper above the rotor for now. Don't let it hang.
Remove the two 17mm caliper bracket bolts. This bracket is SUPER tight, so be careful and use a lot of leverage. Note to tighten it with a torque wrench, check your repair manual for specs.
Pull out the old rotor and install the new one. Hand tighten some lug nuts on to the rotor so it will be straight while you install the bracket and pads.
Reinstall the bracket.

Transfer the brake sensor (bottom left of new pad) from old pads to new ones, note there's only one for each side.
Install the pads.
Wrap the brake master cylinder with a rag so it won't spill out when forcing in the caliper piston.
Buy this $5 caliper tool, its worth every penny. Use one of the old pads and place next to the piston and twist the ****. This will force back the piston.
Pull and twist this thing (i'm not sure what's its called) out. Yes I have really ugly finger nails...
Notice that its dry. This can interfere with the caliper movement as well as reduce the longevity of the pads.
Wipe clean and re-grease.
Do the same for the upper thing that's on the caliper.
My picture is messed up, sorry.
Be sure to reinstall every bolt. Check and double check that the bolts are tight. You don't want to find that out when you are out on the road.
Be sure to use a torque wrench when reinstalling the wheels (80ft.lbs. and 60ft. lbs. for wheel locks).
Do the same for the other side and you're done.
Keep in mind that "performance " brakes require a break in period. So be sure to take it easy on them for the first few hundred miles.
Be sure to pump on the brake pedal a few time before driving the car, this will ensure the pads are engaged with the rotors. Your car will not stop immediately if you don't

LOVE the write up. The rotors make the wheel well so much cleaner looking. Can not stand the way our rotors rust up and look crappy like that. Brings the car down a notch. I will refer to this in the spring when I change out my rotors and pads. Nice again.

Awesome write-up vin, and great job taking photos of the brake DIY project!
I will add this thread to the DIY master thread, and to keep the newbies and potential DIYers in the know, I will stick this thread for a while
