'97 - Seat heater not working & chirp from HVAC fan
Help! My recently purchased 1997 ES300 with 64k miles has a couple of annyoing issues.
-The driver's seat heater is not working. The switch lights up fine but there is no heat. Is this a common problem? Any simple things, other than a broken wire, to look for?
-The HVAC fan makes an annoying chirp/squeak noise on the three highest fan settings. I am a fussy owner but the sound becomes very tiring after an hour! Do I need a new fan motor or can something be lubed?
Thanks

My driver seat heater went out at about 70k miles.
It was about two years ago and I plan on keeping the car for a while so
I decided to have the elements replaced.
There are two seat heater elements and with labor from an independent shop the cost
was like $420 if I remember correctly.
From what I have read this is fairly common for our year cars.
I think a lot of people don't replace them because of the cost.
