Default Seat Fan?

Hi, I sat in my passenger seat today and tried the seat fan/ventilation and it is three times more powerful then my driver's seat, I could really feel the air circulating. I'm guessing my driver's seat fan is not working as good as the passenger side so, anyone know what is involved with changing the seat fan? I google researched and used this sites DYI & search feature and found nothing. The fan is inexpensive and I'm gonna order a new unit but, anyone ever change this fan or know of any diagrams/info on the fan swap? or mods to sincrease air flow?? Thanks is advance.

First thing that comes to mind is the fan is clogged with dust. You have an ES or are you talking about the SC430 in your profile.

It's the ES330 seat fan, I'll look under the seat later on today and hopefully see some dust but, looks like I'll probably have to remove the seat to get a good look and cleaning, So, that's a weekend job. I was wrong about the price being cheap, it appears there are 2 fans, one on the lower seat and another on the upper part of the seat and the fans are closer to $200 each ouch! Hopefully cleaning the fans solves the problem?!

Just looked on Ebay, good. I'll get to it next week. Decided to buy a can of VHT Niteshade tail light tint so, gonna work on that this weekend. sand/paint/sand/clear/sand/compound then polish. That'll take a good portion of the day tomorrow....always something to work on.

how do you check if the fan is clogged with dust without removing the seat?

IDK, I haven't tried to clean it yet but, I'm gonna try some compressed air and try that but, best way is to remove the seat. I seen a seat diagram and it appears there are 2 fans, one on the bottom and one fan for the back part of the seat. I'm definitely gonna look into it one day this week, waiting for humidity to lower....just a bit!

Seat has tiny holes for ventilation. I believe driver's seat is more occupied and there maybe a ventilation problem by clog.
