Looks great! Now do like me and trade the 9006 silverstarts for 9005(high beam)
and then put some HID in the low beams. Doesn't glare as much as an OEM Range Rover I blew off the road trying to tow a boat in the fast lane of I65...

if i read the most recent post right it seems like a 9005 can fit where a 9006 goes? Also question about the fogs has anyone replaced that yellow coverwith clear or blue etc. so that its not that tacky yellow color light I live in az fog is not an issue.

Some modifying of the tabs of a 9005 will let it fit into a 9006 socket. I have done the mod and it's pretty easy.

is this mod safe on the wires long-term? i know it's only 10W difference betweeen 9005&9006 bulbs but will it prematurely degrade the wires?

Silverstars are definitely an improvement over stock bulbs.. a lot whiter and alittle brighter halogens but nothing compared to HIDs for sure. If you're waiting on your stock bulbs to burn out you might being waiting for years. Spend the $40 for a pair of Silverstars and drive happier that you can see the road better. Just make sure you don't touch the glass part of the bulbs when you install them.

I have a 95ES with the square clear foglight lens. I was hoping for a bright yellow light by putting in PIAA's crystal ion yellow bulbs.. but it is a GREAT disappointment. I like the bright yellow look of the 93-94ES circle foglights (IS & GS yellow foglights too).

So you noticed hehe Replacing the stock fogs with aftermarket bulbs that emit yellow light (e.g. PIAA Ion Crystal) will not give you the "true" yellow look such as those found from the '92-'94 ES, IS300, and GS400. The yellow color is achieved from a colored plastic lens placed between the bulb and the outer fog lens.

For your '95 ES, you could replace your front bumper with that from a '92-'94 ES, and get the stock yellow fogs fitted with no problems. The local junkyard is full of surprises

is it the WHOLE front bumper or just the foglight grill&housings?

Don't quote me on this, but I believe you just need the foglight set and the housing which the foglights sit in. I don't think it's necessary to get a '92-'94 bumper with it, but again I don't know.

I know juan01 changed the fogs on his '96 ES to the yellow foglights from the '92-'94 ES, so maybe he'll chime in, or you can send him a PM and ask how he did it.

nonono, you don't need to change the whole bumper.

All you need to do is get the foglights and the plastic black grill that they sit in. They bolt right on. I love the yellow fogs, they light up the road REALLY WELL.

That's what I thought.. Thanks for the clarification

Doh, one more question.. are the wire connectors compatible? Any splicing/wire connectors swapping required?

I think you re-use your existing wiring harness, since they both (92-94, 95-96) use the same size bulbs (H3B if I recall correctly).
