Default $160 for a lexus battery...heart attack

wow.....i mean wow. I have been having problems with my 01' lexus starting up, so i took it today to the lexus dealer to get chk out. I knew it was the battery but I just wanted to make sure. Well out of no where the lexus guy tells me its the battery and its going to cost me $160!!!! including labor. . I almost had a heart attack. Well I talk to the guy and he was nice enough to pro-rate my battery and bring the price down to $50. So I went ahead and tould him to go ahead and change it. By the time the car was done he came over again and said "sir dont worry about paying." From $160 - $0 I was happy that I didnt have to pay a penny. There are some good Lexus Peps out there. =)

yup it sure is....but I dont think the battery is included in the warranty. I have 45k on the car so I think i have another 5k for the bumper-to-bumper warranty. And till 60k for tranny and engine.

For $160, I'd hook up a stationary bicycle to the battery and pedal to start her up every day.
Cool deal man. I guess some things in life ARE free.

Correction, it should be until 70,000 miles for the engine and transmission (powertrain warranty)

We have a pretty good service dept. here in Chattanooga. The guy's are always attentive. The salesman are actually pretty decent people also.

Heck, anything is good after coming from across the street from Herb Adcox Chevrolet and getting rode like a rodeo horse the whole time your on the lot.

Hey O. L. T. Sweet I finally get to meet a fellow club lexus memeber in chattanooga. I have been trying to start a local club up here. I was wondering if you would be interested in meeting up sometime.

Thanks
