I just got my 2016 ES300 and I noticed that every time I start the car, the default view goes straight to the navigation screen. Is there a way to change it to something else or to the last screen it was before I turn off the car?

I ask is because in my previous car (Avalon), if I was on the radio screen and I turn off the car and turn it back on again, the radio screen would come up.

my complain to
Lexus dealer checked and said they could not change it from defaulting to full map screen
I have to hit the home button evertime

I'm sorry I don't know exactly which option screen you need, but you can absolutely change that. My screen (assuming same as a 2015) always defaults to the radio when I start it. Dig through the menus. It has to be there. Sorry I don't them well enough to offer more specific help.

Did you search the forum, or your manual? I just found THIS old thread that may help. Not sure if the menu has changed since 2013, but I'm guessing it's still a changeable option.

the 2016 are updated and not the same, they may fix this issiue in the future but on startup it defaults to full nav screen

Looks like it is what it is and will just have to deal w/ the navi screen showing up first. That's quite annoying.. =P
