Lexus ES350 Acoustic Laminated Front Side Glass
Hi all,
I found out there's two different glass types that come on the 2013- present ES350. One regular, one laminated, acoustic. The acoustic is standard now on the RX, GS and LS.
You can't seem to 'option' this out on the ES350....it it just luck of the draw? Has anyone gotten an ES with the laminated driver/front passenger car from factory?
The other glass may be able to be an exact exchange with the laminated which is significantly quieter at blocking road/wind noise and especially passing trucks. The laminated glass costs no more than standard. Has anyone done this change out on their own or dealer done it to improve road noise?
Regular glass ES350 68101 and 68102 (R vs L front side) and ends in 33181 (for acoustic) 33171 (regular).

All I can tell you is that my 2018 ES350 has it, but it’s the highest spec where I live (middle east). We don’t have ultra luxury etc over here, they all have different names.
I noticed that only the highest spec came with laminated glass. You can also feel it when you touch the glass when the window is open.
The car is very quiet!
