As I needed to take the Lexus to golf today I was wondering how many times people scan their instruments. I would say i look at my speedometer around 3-4 times a minute and also see my water temp and fuel level at the same time. This being the case I'm usually aware on how fast I am going along with what the water temperature is. Unlike my other cars which I have more info to scan , oil pressure , oil temp. , A/F ratio and others it is busy in the cockpit but IMHO important information. So if you are lookin then you shouldn't ever have an over heating problem. Then again if you do your OM fluid checks you should see any problems before you even drive. When was the last time you opened your hood.
