Currently undergoing alot of stress trying to figure out why my 1IS is having this issue. Car is at 115k miles and ran great, went thru a stroll through the park and started noticing my gauge increasing, pulled off and opened the hood to my a smell of coolant but didn't find any or in the oil. I checked the oil and exhaust and didn't see any smoke or oil. I have ordered a water pump and a radiator and serptine hoping its just a water pump job. But I really hope its not head gasket related.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
