Clunking noises from rear over a bump
I drive 2007 ES350, lately I am getting clunking noises from rear, inside or underneath the trunk, when going over bumpy roads. I have removed everything from the inside of the trunk except for spare tire and tools in foam, etc.
I am pretty sure this must have been discussed in this forum but can't find it and not sure where it is coming from. Any idea .. or pointing me in right direction?
Thanks

my clunk was a loose AFS sensor or worn sway bar bushings https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...ion-thunk.html

Thanks, this makes sense and reading on Sway Bar Bushings, I now understand where the issue is.
Also found below link where they discussed it on GS forum.

Had that, done that with my ES2008, save yourself some $$$, buy the one from Ebay, i don't remember the site, but just enter ES350 sway bar bushings, i got it at a fraction of the dealer and the install is very easy, of course done by a mechanic. It took 1.5 hours and it is simple.
Chances are your bushing are cracked and wobble and it may also be rusted to the bolt. A tool is needed to push the old bushing out to accept the new one. Had it done about a year ago and running fine, the ride is 100% identical because the material is the same as the dealer.
hope that helps

My error and i want to make the correction, i replace these parts:
1. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ARM-BUSHING-REAR-ASSEMBLY-For-Toyota-CAMRY-2001-2006-OEM-42304-06030-/261575377213?fits=Model%3AES350&hash=item3ce71b813d&vxp=mtr
Exactly as i describe above. To test it, the mechanic will put a crowbar to swing the arm to see if there is a play. This bushing is not OEM because your have to buy the whole arm instead of the bushing alone.
AND
2.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suspension-Stabilizer-Bar-Bushing-Kit-Rear-BECK-ARNLEY-101-6873-/321729122748?fits=Model%3AES350&hash=item4ae88cd1bc&vxp=mtr
This piece is very easy do replace, even i can do it. To test it, it is the same as above, you will see a play, it should be tight. This piece can be bought directly at toyota, the piece is the same for the camry for about the same price as the aftermarket ebay one. Lexus does sell it for twice the price.
Sorry for the mistake. PS: the picture is to show you what the piece looks like, please investigate the proper part number for your car
