So for the past several months i have noticed something going on but i don't know if i just never noticed it before or if its normal or not good

But their is a little noise almost like a groaning
When i am at a Stop light and idle but still in Drive.
When i shift to N or P it stops and goes away.
sometimes during this i will notice a little rattle or i feel a little vibration but not much and very hard to even notice if it hadn't been for how sensitive i am never would have even noticed this at all.

any ideas what this could be ?
anyone els with their 07 ES notice this or any other years from 07-12 ?

i don't want to go into the service department and sound like someone uniformed on this issue weather it is a issue or not

Have you noticed if the RPMs are stable at that time (i.e. are they lower when you're hearing the growling/vibration?) Also, if it's a constant growl - have someone brake and put it in drive while you listen under the hood. My water pump growled a little bit before it was replaced under the extended warranty. Other culprits could be a failing power steering pump... there's no simple answer unfortunately without having someone take a good look at it.

the W/P was just replaced last month i noticed this noise before that.
the rpms stay stable the only time it changes is when i shift it it goes up a little bit but it comes right back down an dsits in the same spot the needle
I will take it into to the dealer have them check it out next week and see what they say id rather spend the 100 on them to go and check the entire car through then take the chance that something goes wrong latter on when the warranty is up in a few months from now is when the extended service contract will end once i put another 8k on it
might be able to get them check it out and not charge me since perhaps i could tell them when they looked it over before they must have missed this what ever it is
