Question Water leak?

Any one have a water leak that fills the drivers side rear corner panel and the area were the spare tire is located? I have an 07 with the glass top. About once a month or so I need to pull the rubber plugs and drain both areas. Any ideas?

TIA,
MJ

Think it's coming from the glass roof?

One of the drainage hoses to the roof has come loose or is clogged. If its clogged you can pull up the side piece of the roof and stick something down there. If it has come off youll need to pull the roof liner partly down from the rear driver side or pull it off completely.

Is it difficult to get to? I don't have a service manual but I guess I need to get one.

Also, there's is zero water in the car. Should i assume its draining since its making it to the trunk? No water on the trunk liner either, just in the wells. Because of that I thought it was draining correctly for the most part.

Oh, thats easy to fix then. The lines lead from the roof to the trunk where they exit somewhere near the quarter panel. Not sure if theyll be easily accessible but youll have to remove the liners in the trunk. You might be able to see the drainage lines if are able to just pull the sides down. Theyre blue and about 3/4 inch in diameter.
When you get vision of the line, use a hose on the roof and you should see where its leaking from

+1 on clogged drain hoses... To get to them, you'll need to drop the headliner from the rear, so remove the c-pillar garnishes, b-pillar garnishes too and you should have enough room to get to hoses in the back of the car. Remove them from sunroof assembly and you can blow pressure air through to clear them...

Hi
I'm a wondering is your car a glass panel roof or a regular moon type? The reason I ask is I saw the schematics posted by another on seperate post and it shows no drains on the sliding panel or panoramic type only the regular one. At least that is what I thought I saw.
Any cliarification here would be great. Thanks!

The hoses are easy to get to , behind the side panels in the trunk. They may have become dislodged from the exits at the wheel wells. In my former car (04 VW Phaeton) the drain hoses could be cleared by using the flexible cable inside an older speedometer cable to run through the drain hose. From the bottom (exits) to the top, easier then dropping the headliner.
