Thumbs down Extreme Cold Weather Alert!!!!!!!

Up here in Toronto we have been having some really cold weather! Cars on my street have had issues starting and CAA are back logged with calls regarding these issues... its been dipping down to -30C/-22F at nights But my lexus has not stranded me anywhere!

It does start kinda rough, but after letting it run for 3min im good to go! Any one else experiencing Weather extremes? Its the first time in 3 years that we are having this kind of weather. Last year we barely got any snow!

That's crazy cold! I can't even stand the 10 degree F weather we have right now, I can't even imagine -22F.

Lol one thing I never go without running is synthetic oil! Especially during cold starts! The oil flows really nice! I also use a MotoMaster Eliminator car battery, which is also excellent for cold weather!

You guys are talking apples and oranges here. -19º C equals -2.2º F. In any case too cold for me

I'm about a hour from Toronto and its been very cold here as well, I drive a Mazda Millenia for the winter and it hesitates to start in this weather. If it doesn't start I'll be staying home where it's warm and cozy!

If he has a garage he should push it in there and run a propane heater for a while. That should work. Then drive that bad gas out and fill up at a creditable gas station lol.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Dry Gas When I lived in cold climates, I used it faithfully in the freezing months.

Every one on my street has a double garage. But they all have junk filled inside of them, there are a few of them that can't open their garage doors cause everything will start falling out Lol. I'm the only one on my street that uses their garage! I find that the garage is usually 7-10 degrees warmer than outside, My car is defiantly a garage baby...

I love using my garage to store my car as well, my wife likes to throw junk in there and it pisses me off lol.

Nice! Last winter up here lots of peeps were still riding.. At the beginning of January 2013 I still saw a few guys who had a hard time parking there bikes for the winter, but as soon as that arctic air hit, haven't seen them since Lol
