LexBob2 - I looked again this morning and observed that it is only the front portion of the hood and the very leading edge of the fenders that have the clearbra so it is pretty pricey for just that coverage. And on the only black car I saw the clear bra was not installed properly - it had a defect or bubble. I also noted that I was wrong in saying the side moulding was not parallel with the lower chrome trim - it is. I asked the only sales person on duty at 8:30 on a Monday morning what was going on but he had not even noticed the change so could offer no explanation.

I also noticed that the convenience package or whatever has always been included now includes the rear bumper applique along with the wheel locks and cargo net. The rear bumper protection is kind of nice but I would prefer that it did not include the Lexus logo.

I looked at some of the other cars on the lot and even though I am not as tuned in to what they usually have on them none other than the ES's had the clear bra or side moulding. Most of the LS's had a premium floor mat option but they may have always had that.

All in all I would say that even the dealer cost on these new ES's has gone up $600 or so. Not good when sales are as slow as they obvoiusly are.

Interesting note - they offered my a loaner and I always glance back to see what the next loaner up is and it was one of the newly arrived ES's with the new options. But I was only going to be there for a short time and wanted to wait anyway to look at the new cars.
