How do I turn off traction control?
#2
There are two buttons under the dash just to the right of the steering wheel. One of them resets error messages (5000 mile Oil, Tire Pressure) if you hold it for 10 seconds. The other is the on/off for traction control. Can't remember which is which, but it is obvious once you press it. One is instantaneous and one you have to hold.
As far as I could find, these buttons are not documented. The Tire pressure light is an example. It says in the manual "If the light stays on continuously, go to your dealer for service". All you have to do is get the pressure equal and push and hold the reset button.

Those two buttons are for tire pressure reset and the adaptive front lights. I don't think you can turn off the traction control on a 2007. Does anyone know for sure?

Disable traction control (Solved !)
2007 Lexus es350: I live up a steep hill and when it snows hard I have no power to get up (maddening!). The Skid control cuts in and stalls the engine at the worst possible time and I just get stuck watching cars pass me. The 2007 Lexus ES350 has no disable button; however I think the 2008 and up may have it. This procedure (called the pedal dance) worked for me. Follow it closely and it will work. I tested it today and my Lexus shot up that snowy slippery hill like a rocket. Note: There is no permanent fix available, I.E., TRAC will re-enable itself after the next engine restart. Use the procedure whenever there is heavy snow.
Start car and complete the procedure within 30 seconds
Cycle 1:
- Engage parking brake
- Push brake pedal and release TWICE
- Release parking brake
Cycle 2:
- Push brake pedal and hold
- Engage parking brake and release TWICE
- Release brake pedal
Cycle 3:
- Engage parking brake
- Push brake pedal and release TWICE
- Release parking brake
Important:
. Success: Yellow “Trac Control” icon will display on the dash.
. Trac control will enabled itself back on after the next engine restart :-(
Enjoy

This is the only way to turn off trac control in the ES350 2007 (This actually works and even the Lexus dealer doesn't know this) The 2008 came with an on/off switch
