Should I wait til '08?
My wife fell in love with the ES 350. We were very close to buying one until I read the many bad reports about it on this and other websites. I realize this is subjective, but do you think that the transmission, engine/wind noise, rattles and other quality problems will be fixed with the '08 model?
I'd hate to buy another car now only to discover that we could have had the one we really wanted merely by waiting a few months. Thanks for your opinions.

So, it really depends on your tollerance. It depends on how picky you are with your cars. In my opinion, either wait or take the one you are going to buy for a 24 hour test drive and make sure it is a "good" one.

I would wait till this trans. issue is resolved and I don't believe that is the case yet. Mine sounds like it is going to throw a rod every day when it first starts and for about two miles. Dreaded trany flare has not struck yet but at 1400 miles I cringe every day when I drive it and expect it to rear it's ugly head any day now. If that happens it's goodbuy lexus and hello again to Acura. If not, I will live with the car sounding like car with 200,000 miles on it when it is cold. If they could fix those two things, I would love it but they won't even acknowledge it is and issue. Normal. RIGHT. I can't believe I was so taken in by Lexus reputation. I would imagine Lexus and Toyota will both take a big hit in JD Powers this year. Other than that I love it.
