Extra Wood on Dash and Trim Kits
As some of you know I've been posting here for quite a while. My experience with the ES 350 has been positive and I have little to complain about. I would much rather tout its many attributes then complain about some minor annoyances (like an occasional rattle on the dashboard and noisy tires). What I really want to know about is if any of you have any experience with adding on extra wood on the dashboard. I am wondering which kit to get and which manufacturers make kits that really match the OEM interior trim that Lexus puts in. Also if you've done it yourself, which kits are the easiest to install and give the best results.
I would appreciate to hear from any of you that have experienced with doing this, or have had it done by the dealer.
Thank you in advance.

I am considering adding select pieces. (namely around the nav and the center vents, overhead console) If I were to use ALL the pieces (i.e. over the side vents) That would be definite overkill. Most important thing is to get the perfect tint/hue color of the wood and most accurately matching grain.
I wonder how the quality comparison is between companies and who has the perfect OEM match. It's too easy to screw this up and make it look cheap. Sherwood maybe has the edge because it has the factory labeling retained as shown in the above schematic. I wouldn't want my front console functions unlabeled.
Here's a real-world sample of B&I....kinda lends a richer look to that gray plastic that just sorta dosen't belong there.
