I own a 1997 es300 and im missimg what i think is a sunglass holder? Any idea what the part number is and where is the cheapest place to find the missing part?

A junkyard is your best bet. If I vaguely recall, the entire console will have to be switched out. It looks like you had the option for a garage door opener instead of sunglass holder?

I was looking into this when wrapping my headliner on my Solara - I think they're interchangeable between the ES and Solara, and possibly the Avalon.

That is not a sun-glass holder.

That is where you stick your remote control and then close it.

The stick on the end on the inside then pushes your remote button when you push the button on the outside.

Yeah, it's for the remote control. Found some of the newer designed controls won't line up properly in it though.

I stumbled upon this while reading the FSM this morning before seeing this thread. It sounds like all you have to do is change the cover. Here's from the FSM. BTW, my car is the same as yours, OP.

" OVERHEAD CONSOLE
An overhead console is provided in front of the map lamp to store a garage door opener transmitter. This console is constructed to enable the operation of a transmitter in its stored state.
Also, by changing its cover, the console can be used to store a pair of sunglasses."
