Turn signal problem
alright, when i took my headlamps out, i noticed that there's was something different between the two units where the turn signal bulb is. the right turn signal blinks double speed, and it's not the bulb that's causing the problem. when i looked at the left headlamp, i noticed a brownish coating on the two white strips leading from the power to the bulb. the left headlamp blinks fine. when i looked at the right, there was no brown coating, the white strips were blank. can that coating be some kind of transistor? what do you guys think? here are some pics

i really don't think that coating would be an issue cause it's TOTALLY gone on one of your lights. there should be at least a little still there so maybe someone just forgot to spray it.
check your bulbs...front and rear. if it's not that...could be your relay. i'm not using my relay so if you need one....holla.
****i always liked those faster turn signals so i bought a adjustable flasher relay*****

there was some dirt or grime between the connectors so i cleaned it off with a q-tip. put the bulb back in and voila.... also try wiggling your wiring while you have the bulb plugged in and flashers on to see if it is a wiring problem too... good luck.

It is probably the bulb. It may look fine, but it probably isn't. Remember to check both the front and the back.
I had the same problem. After tearing the front apart to find the problem (after I replaced the bulb) someone suggested the bulb in the back. "Oh yeah, I forgot about the bulb in the back, duh!"
That was a brain fart I hate admitting to!

i don't think it is the back ones because when i turn the hazards on, the back ones blink fine and at the same intensity, however with the fronts, the right blinker is A LOT dimmer then the left. i replaced the bulbs for the blinker without success. the lexus dealer suggested it was corrosion on the contacts and said to fix it i need to buy a new assembly... but it doesn't look like corrosion is the problem, since the contacts look clean. i'll try changing the back though... except i don't know how i'd go about doing that. does anyone know?
